The heavy pedestal and its Jugendstil designed cover plate are made of heavy-grade brushed stainless steel. The LED lighted light-columns rest on a pedestal of 3 mm (.12 in) darkened brass plate. All Pedestals carry my signature, its measurements are: height 100 mm, width 410 mm, depth 230 mm (4 × 16 × 9 in).

Illumination of the fluorescent light-columns is provided by two 49 W fluorescent tubes with a life span of at least 8000 hours. Illumination of the LED lighted light-columns is provided by six high-grade 2700k warm light LED strips with a lifetime of 50,000 hours per manufacturer’s specification. The illumination core consists of a hollow aluminium profile of 100 × 20 mm (4 × .8 in). Its wide surfaces (front and back) each carry two LED strips plus one on each narrow side. An electronic control unit is located in the pedestal. It allows for modulated dimming from 0% to 100%. The most recent choice is stored and retained when the light is switched off and on again.
Each glass motif is a unique one-of-a-kind piece of art, individually and totally hand crafted by me, Dieter Geike. The pedestal and cover plate are built by the artist metalworker Kay Schulz. The lighting expert Hartmut Bleschke is responsible for the illumination and electronic components.

For the English translations of the user manual and large parts of my website I wish to thank my old friend Gerhard Pramor who emigrated to Canada, a band member from our musical onset, schoolmate, and a pardoned horse cartoonist! I'm glad that we did not loose touch with each other, thanks a lot Gerd!
